Please see below for ways to support these meaningful programs.

Daytime Snacks, aka Project Pantry

Borel is committed to ensuring all students have snacks at-the-ready to keep up their energy and positive attitudes!

Sign-up to purchase individually wrapped snacks and drop-off at the Borel office per a date on the sheet!

  • Goal is to purchase as many snacks as possible each week; There is no maximum, we need thousands of snacks but we only have a small budget
  • Popular snacks: Seaweed, Goldfish, Chewy Granola Bars, Fruit Snacks, and Popcorn - mixing and matching is fine
  • There is a $50 reimbursable* allocation per drop-off date
  • OR, if you are able to cover the cost, mark donation on the reimbursement form below to contribute in-kind, and we will reallocate the funds + send you an in-kind donation letter for tax purposes.
  • If you know any businesses, brands, or other organizations that would like to donate please contact pamelafishmancianci@gmail.com who will happily support the in-kind process.
  • Big thanks to Ms. Wolf, who has a group of students who help sort and distribute snacks weekly!

Homework Central Food

We need help making sandwiches for Borel Homework Central!

Sandwiches nourish and sustain students in-need during the twice weekly after school sessions. Since it is late in the day, many of the kids are hungry and need a mini-meal to help their focus and success!

Sign-up to purchase ingredients, make, and drop-off 40 sandwiches in the Borel office per a date on the sheet!

  • Sandwiches should be basic - sliced bread or roll, meat (turkey or ham), and cheese or PB&J - all individually wrapped and dropped off by 2:30PM to the main office on the given day/date. (See Best Practices Tab on sign-up sheet for more directions.)
  • There is a $50 reimbursable* allocation per drop-off date
  • OR, if you are able to cover the cost, mark donation on the reimbursement form below to contribute in-kind, and we will reallocate the funds + send you an in-kind donation letter
  • If you know any businesses, brands, or other that would like to donate please contact pamelafishmancianci@gmail.com who will happily support the in-kind process.

Holidays In-A-Box

Show families in-need their school community really cares with a tangible box of useful, seasonal goodies.

4x per school year, we will curate “holiday-centric” boxes for 25 families in-need – gifts will be chock-full of necessities as well as treats to celebrate the season.

  • For Fall/Thanksgiving, Winter/December Holidays, Valentine's Day, and Spring/Mother's Day we need quantities of specific items including but not limited to:
    • Gift Cards to Safeway and/or Target and/or Smart and Final (need at least 100 cards in $25 denominations)
    • Socks (400 pairs)
    • Seasonal Sweets, Canned Foods, Fresh Fruits, Fresh Foods, Flowers, and more (25 of each category minimum per season)
  • If you are interested in supporting, please contact pamelafishmancianci@gmail.com for more information
  • Note: School counselors create the list of families in-need and distribute the items directly - no family information is shared out other than number of people in each family to ensure the boxes are properly curated
